The Analytical Solutions Division (ASD) of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Capabilities Analyst on-site in Huntsville, AL. The Capabilities Analyst will assist the Capabilities Manager oversee multiple functional teams, or capabilities. The Capabilities Analyst is responsible for maintaining schedules and assisting in the development and implementation of policies, processes, and solutions to enhance the capabilities of RPG to meet project objectives. Gathers data, correlates information between teams, reports information to Capabilities Manager.
What you’ll do as a Capabilities Analyst:
Provide support within various administrative and operational responsibilities as required to include:
Organizing documents and data to improve information flow
Writing drafts of reports/presentations
Scheduling meetings and information sessions
Researching items to be purchased (software, equipment, etc.)
Maintain integrated master schedule by integrating inputs from project managers & functional supervisors to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet schedules
Gather information from PMs and functional supervisors such as resource needs, project progress, and timeline information as required
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining systems for:
Work management
Knowledge management
Quality processes
Administrative and/or functional team processes to improve workflow, organization, and standardization
Assist functional supervisors in tracking material orders by communicating with project managers, procurement, and vendors
Serves as delegate to Capabilities Manager as needed
Must Haves as a Capabilities Analyst:
Bachelor’s Degree AND 0-2 years relevant work experience; OR a H.S. diploma (or equivalent) and 6-8 years’ relevant experience
Must be a US Citizen
Obtain and maintain a minimum of a SECRET clearance from the US Department of Defense
2+ technical understanding of prototyping and manufacturing processes/ scheduling and planning / ability to evaluate and implement process improvement
2+ Experience in writing technical processes, procedures, documentation templates/forms
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and able to change priorities quickly and work effectively under deadlines
Proficient skills with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Highly organized
Excellent time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Interpersonal skills
Capabilities Analyst Wish List/Preferred:
Active / current SECRET Clearance from the US Department of Defense
